Standard Warranty Policy for Inverters, Batteries, and Solar Panels
Installation and Compliance Requirements:

Qualified Electrician Requirement: All installations must be performed by a certified electrician, such as a qualified Installation Electrician (I.E.) or a Master Installation Electrician (M.I.E.).

Electrical Certificate of Compliance (COC): A valid COC specific to the backup or solar system installation is mandatory.

Compliance with Standards: The installation must adhere to SANS 10142 and its relevant parts.

Documentation for Warranty Registration: To register your system for warranty, you must submit:

Detailed installation photos (including open trunking, DB boards, sub-DB boards, warning stickers, and visible wiring).

A valid COC.

Proof of installation by a qualified electrician.

Ensure the date of the photos is clearly visible.

System Registration for SSEG: Local authorities may require system registration for Small Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG) approval.
Warranty Coverage

Warranty Period: The warranty begins from the date of the purchase invoice.

Warranty Claims: To ensure your warranty remains valid, claims must be supported by the required documentation and comply with installation guidelines. Failure to meet these requirements may result in rejection of the warranty claim.
Warranty Exclusions

Power Surge: Damage caused by sudden increases in electrical power.

Under-Voltage: Damage resulting from voltage dropping below required levels.

Over-Voltage: Damage from voltage exceeding safe thresholds.

Lightning: Damage from direct or indirect lightning strikes.

Corrosion: Damage from chemical reactions, such as rust.

Sea Spray: Damage caused by exposure to oceanic saltwater.

Condensation: Damage from moisture buildup.

Water Damage: Damage resulting from water exposure or contact.

Dust/Solid Particles: Damage caused by dust or airborne particles.

Inadequate Protection Device Rating: Damage from the use of incorrectly rated protection devices.

Tampering (Broken Seal): Damage from unauthorized tampering or broken seals.

Dirty Filters: Damage caused by unclean filters.

Exceeding Maximum Power Rating: Damage from overloading the system.

Wrong Cable Types and Sizes: Damage caused by using improper cable types or sizes.

AC and DC Cables in 1 Trunking: Warranty is voided if installation does not meet SANS requirements.

Improper Fuse Sizing: Damage caused by incorrectly sized fuses between batteries, inverters, or panels.
*Responsibilities and Process

Warranty Registration: Customers are required to register their warranty on our website, providing detailed information about the installation and components.

Warranty Claims: While we facilitate the warranty claims process, the warranty is held by the product importers.

Repair Assessment: Warranty claim assessments at repair centers may take up to 21 working days.

Authorization for Returns: Units must be authorized before being returned for warranty claims.

Manufacturer’s Warranty Registration: It is essential to adhere to the manufacturer’s warranty registration process.

Backup Units: We do not provide free backup units and are not obligated to do so.
Maintenance and Support

Regular Servicing: To ensure optimal system performance, safety, and longevity, regular servicing is recommended, ideally once a year.
