Returns

1. Product Returns & Inspection
All returned products will be thoroughly inspected by our Sales and Technical Departments. If there are clear signs that the product has been tampered with or misused, the warranty will be void.

2. Inverter Returns
Inverters may qualify for a refund or replacement only if:
•    The product has not been removed from its original packaging,
•    It is unused,
•    It remains sealed in the original box.
Tesla Solar SA reserves the right to send the product to the supplier for assessment to confirm whether the unit has been used.

3. Warranty Seal Integrity
Certain products carry warranty seals. If a seal is found to be broken or removed, all warranty and return rights will be forfeited.

4. Out-of-Box Failure (OBF) Policy
We do not accept OBF claims if a product has been opened, used, or installed. Special circumstances may be reviewed at our discretion for possible replacement options.

5. Serial Number Verification
All returns must include the product's original packaging and must match:
•    The serial number on the product,
•    The serial number listed on the box, and
•    The serial number on the Tesla Solar SA invoice.
This process ensures the product was purchased directly from us.

6. Exchange Policy
If a return is approved and the customer requests an exchange, we will offer replacement options based on availability and condition of the returned product.

7. Return Approval & Credit Process
Returns accepted by Tesla Solar SA will be sent to the supplier for verification. Only once the supplier confirms that the product is unused, untampered, and in acceptable condition, will a credit note or refund be processed.

8. Missing or Incorrect Items on Delivery
Upon receiving your delivery:
•    Inspect the package immediately,
•    Report any missing or incorrect items right away,
•    Provide photographic evidence of all contents in the box.
Claims for missing, incorrect, or damaged items cannot be accepted once the product has been installed. Responsibility in such cases lies with the customer.

9. Shipping Responsibility for Returns
Customers must arrange for the return of products using their own courier service. If Tesla Solar SA is asked to assist, a collection fee will be charged.

10. Damaged Goods on Arrival
All damages must be reported immediately upon receipt of the goods.
•    Tesla Solar SA is not liable for damage during transit.
•    We strongly recommend that customers ensure their shipments are adequately insured.

11. Returns of Correctly Supplied Items
If a customer wishes to return items that were correctly supplied:
•    Returns will be accepted at our discretion,
•    A 15% restocking fee will apply,
•    The customer is responsible for all shipping costs.

12. Consumer Protection Act (CPA) Compliance
In line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) 68 of 2008, customers may request a full refund within 10 business days of delivery in accordance with sections 16, 19(5) & (8), 20, 55(3), and 56.
Please note, a 20% handling fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

13. Extended Warranty Claims
Extended warranties are managed by the respective product manufacturers.
•    Tesla Solar SA does not provide backup or replacement units during the claim process.
•    In some cases, loan units may be available, but this is subject to availability and is not guaranteed.

14. Manufacturer Warranty Policy
All product warranties are held and honored by the manufacturer.
Tesla Solar SA will assist with the claims process, but final decisions regarding repairs, replacements, or rejections rest solely with the manufacturer.
